Samsung Finance + is a financing service which allows customers to buy Samsung products on pocket friendly EMIs. It can be availed at any nearby Samsung store or through its online touchpoints.
It started as a financing service in India but has now successfully launched in multiple countries across the globe.

Samsung Finance + is a complex ecosystem which is driven by multiple interfaces and actors. The critical interfaces are the “Merchant app” and the “Customer app”.
This app is used by the merchants or store executives present inside the store to assist the customer through the financing process to buy a Samsung product.
Once the purchase is completed, the customer is onboarded to the Customer app.
Customer app, as the name suggests - is a consumer facing app. It is used by the customers who have bought a product using Samsung Finance+ to keep track of their ongoing loans and EMI payments.
As Samsung Finance+ is one of the key contributors to driving Samsung product sales, we have to work closely with product and business teams. Our focus is on striking the right balance between creating user friendly experiences that also align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Samsung Finance+ functions as an ecosystem, requiring designers to consider the impact on all touchpoints. This means designing each interface, like the Merchant app, with the entire system in mind. Consistency in design and UX copy, as well as how information is presented to Merchants vs. Customers, becomes crucial for a seamless user experience.
The process of financing a product varies from country to country. For e.g. In India we use the Digilocker method for completing the KYC of a customer whereas in Indonesia, they use eKTP (Indonesian ID card) for identity verification.
